My name is Kelly.

I love pretty things. Whimsy things. Creative things. Yummy things.

I started my first blog, done well, in 2009 and in 2013, decided it was time for a change. The CityLine featured blog was a hodgepodge of interesting, and less interesting, things that were happening in my life.

Purple Workbench aims to be a more focussed collection of creative projects, mostly originating from the sewing machine or the kitchen stove. The blog portion is merely an accompaniment to real workshops, retreats, and events.

At the moment this is still my part time hobby, but maybe one day it will flourish into a calendar of events that satisfies any creative thirst!

Oh, and why is the Workbench Purple? It's a nod to my Engineering background. Four years of intense studying. I swear it helps me sew a straighter line.
